The problem with hunger is that it isn’t going away … there are many ways to leave a legacy of love of your community. Legacy giving has benefits to you beyond feeling good about your act of caring and kindness, there are tax benefits to you and to your estate.
You can leave a legacy with the Friendship Inn by leaving:
- A bequest in your Will. You can state your intention to leave a specific amount or the residue of your Estate as a gift to the Saskatoon Friendship Inn.
- A gift of RRSPs or RRIFs. Naming Saskatoon Friendship Inn Inc. as beneficiary of your RRSPs or RRIFs.
- A gift of insurance policies. There are 3 ways you can leave a gift of insurance: name Saskatoon Friendship Inn as beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, donate a new policy, or transfer ownership of a paid up policy.
You should always discuss your intentions and estate planning with family and professional advisors such as your lawyer, accountant or financial planner.
