Hello friend, thank-you for registering to Volunteer with the Friendship Inn. We rely on awesome people like you to help us serve 1200 – 1600 meals, every single day. Thank-you!
Every meal makes a difference and every pair of helping hands is important. After completing the registration process and receiving your Welcome message, you can review the current Volunteer Schedule and then reach out to us at reception@friendshipinn.ca or 306-242-5122 to book your first shift! We’re available Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm. Messages will be returned the following business day.
18+ Requirement: ALL Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to fully participate without supervision.
Waiver: Please remember to print and bring your completed Volunteer Waiver with you for your first shift.
Timing: Please arrive at either 7:30 am or 11:00 am to begin your shift.
- Breakfast service shifts are 7:30am – 9:30am (you’re welcome to eat breakfast with us beginning at 9:30am)
- Lunch service shifts are 11:00am to 1:30pm (you’re welcome to eat lunch with us beginning at 1:30pm)
- Full Day shifts are from 7:30am to 1:30pm (you’re welcome to eat breakfast and lunch with us)
Clothing: You are encouraged to consider leaving valuables at home as locker space is minimal. Dress code keeps health and safety in mind and is sensitive to the guests and environment within which we are serving:
- closed-toed, slip-resistant shoes are required
- moderate dress is encouraged (ie: pants or long shorts, sleeved shirts)
- bandanas or clothing with profanity/inappropriate messaging/graphics are not permitted
Parking: Curbside parking is typically available on Avenue G and space permitting, you are welcome to park in our staff lot.
Building Entry: is through the green west-facing door, located in the staff parking lot. Please ring the doorbell.
Kitchen Prep Volunteers: will be provided with a hair net, gloves, and clean apron.
Floor Service Volunteers: will be provided with gloves, and a clean apron.
Photography and Video: All photos, video and other recordings are at the sole discretion of the Inn and may only be taken with the permission and presence of a manager to respect and protect the privacy and confidentiality of guests of the Inn. No exceptions.
