The problem with hunger is that it isn’t going away … there are many ways to leave a legacy of love of your community. Legacy giving has benefits to you beyond feeling good about your act of caring and kindness, there are tax benefits to you and to your estate. We recommend that you always discuss your estate planning with your family, lawyer and financial planner.
You can leave a legacy to the Inn by leaving:
- A bequest in your will. A simple form of giving is to leave a bequest in your will stating that you are leaving a gift to the Saskatoon Friendship Inn Inc. (include the legal name of the organization) in a specific dollar amount or as a residue of your estate.
- A gift of RRSPs or RRIFs. Naming Saskatoon Friendship Inn Inc. as beneficiary of your RRSPs or RRIFs.
- A gift of insurance policies. There are 3 ways you can leave a gift of insurance: name Saskatoon Friendship Inn INc. as beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, donate a new policy, or transfer ownership of a paid up policy.
