Volunteering at the Inn is a meaningful way to give back and connect with community. The Friendship Inn relies on volunteer power to deliver our Free Meal Program and provide food security to those in need. We welcome volunteers (ages 18 and up) and have opportunities seven days a week ranging from food preparation to meal service, cleaning and other tasks, depending on the day.
We’re always happy to answer your questions and have a more detailed conversation about what you can expect when Volunteering at the Friendship Inn.

Volunteer shift times can be flexible, depending on your schedule. Your help is most needed during meal service times:
- Breakfast Service: 7:30 am to 9:30 am. You’re welcome to eat breakfast with us beginning at 9:30 am.
- Lunch Service: 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. You’re welcome to eat lunch with us beginning at 1:30 pm.
- Full Day of Volunteering: 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. You’re welcome to eat breakfast and lunch.
Schedule Your Group Volunteer Experience (January through November*)
- Please submit your Group Information Form. NOTE: All members of your group MUST BE at least 18 years of age and able to participate without your supervision. This requirement extends to mature teens who would be accompanied by adult supervisors and includes all students, sports teams, family members, youth groups, employees, etc. This decision has been taken with a balance of safety and resources in mind, and we appreciate your understanding.
- We’ll contact you the next business day to discuss opportunities for your group’s Volunteer experience and schedule the date(s) and time(s) that work best for you.
- Please have each Volunteer read and sign our Volunteer Waiver. Bring your signed form to the Inn when you come to Volunteer.
